Easy watch party idea: baked potato bar

Ingredients
At least one Idaho russet potato per person
Salt and pepper
olive oil
foil

Assorted toppings, such as:
shredded cheddar cheese
crumbled blue or feta cheese
sour cream
crispy bacon, crumbled
chopped fresh chives
salsa
chunks of cooked chicken or ham
steamed broccoli florets
A crock pot full of hot chili or cheese dip
sliced pepperoni
butter
sauteed mushrooms, onion, or peppers

You'll also need:
A big platter to stack the potatoes on and small individual bowls for each topping (along with spoons for serving each)

Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Scrub the potatoes and pat them dry. Prick each potato several times with a fork or paring knife.  Rub each with olive oil, then sprinkle heavily with salt.  Wrap in foil.  Bake for about an hour, until soft.

While the potatoes cook, arrange your table with a plates and silverware at one end, then a large platter for stacking the hot potatoes, then each little bowl of toppings.

For a tailgate party, you can bake the potatoes ahead of time, then place the hot potatoes in a foil-lined cooler.  They'll stay hot for your tailgate party!
