Hot, humid and rainy - yep, that's football season in Arkansas

Today's forcast calls for hot steamy temperatures and thunderstorms - not exactly perfect tailgating weather. It takes a little planning, but you can stay dry and look great, even if caught in a downpour while waiting in that endless line for the porta-potties.

Toss a lightweight rain jacket like this one in your purse - it packs into its own small zipper pouch for easy travel.  After the storm is over, sit on it in the stadium to protect your clothes from the wet seats.

To deal with the heat and humidy, I highly recommend dry shampoo spray to keep you hair looking fresh, not bedragled.  I love this one:

Finally, don't bother with blotting papers - paper napkins work great, and they're available everywhere on game day.

  1. I've been meaning to get some dry shampoo but I can't tell what brand you are recommending. Can you provide a name or a link? Thanks Ali!

  2. That one is Oscar Blandi, and it smells the best. But it leaves a white residue in dark hair. For brunettes, you need either a brown version (I love the one by T3, but Bumble and Bumble also makes one) or the invisible one by Oscar Blandi (in a tall brown bottle, labeled "pronto invisible volumizing dry shampoo." That's what I am using now (you get it at Sephora), but it isn't as volumizing as the T3.
