Make ahead cocktails
Such a clever and simple idea - for your next party, make up a bunch cocktails ahead of time, seal in mason jars, and place in an ice bucket. Such an easy way to server your guests mixed drinks.
Check out this idea and more at Divine Party Concepts.
Pouf
There's a reason it's cliche - Southern girls love big hair (and so do Southern guys!). While there are tons of styling products on the market that will lift your locks skyward, the only shampoo I've every found that really does add volume is a handmade natural concoction called, you guessed it, "Big." It is made by a British company called Lush, and you have to order it online since it isn't sold anywhere near here. And be prepared, this stuff is different from other shampoos. It is a very thick and chunky mixture of salt, lime juice, seaweed, and natural oils (coconut, orange, neroli, etc.).
Order it here.
Don't underestimate the power of Sister Shubert
Sister Shubert's yeast rolls are a Southern classic. If you walk through the pit on an early game day, you'll spot these at almost every tailgate. They are affordable, easy, tasty, and handheld - perfect game food. You can pick up a tray at your local grocery store.
How did you do in Home Ec class?
If you were a start student, you should consider whipping up this adorable red dress for Razorback games. Instructions are here.
If you were a bit more remedial, you could always take this photo and print out of the instructions to a seamstress.

Curve classic
This cute boyfriend cardigan from Forever21's curvy line is such a classic game day look. For a more flattering look, I'd pair it with a sleek black or gray structured sheath dress, dark tights, and boots.
Even in the South, less is more
Let this photo serve as inspiration for a no-fuss game day look. It is as simple as can be, but she looks like a million bucks (it's just like all of our mothers told us - walk in with confidence, and it really doesn't matter what you're wearing).
Photo via Pinterest.
Do they serve these at Sonic? They should!
Sweet tea lemonade SLUSHIE! Sounds like the perfect vodka delivery system on game day. The recipe is easy and can be found here, at Sweet Tea with Cindy.
Complete game day look
Get this look by clicking on Polyvore's website, where they link to each piece. They call it a summer date night look, but I think it would be perfect for game day. And really - date night, game day, to-may-to, to-mah-to . . .
Quick and easy centerpiece idea
That striped centerpiece is actually made with dried beans and rice (I think they dyed the rice, maybe?). Anyway, it is a cute look on a budget, and would work well for game day decor.

Almost as cute as she is
Isn't this red and white bow headband cute? It could easily turn any plain red or white outfit (baby jeans and a red t-shirt) into an adorable game day look worthy of all your tailgating photos. And it is a lot less likely to be destroyed with ice cream, dirt, ketchup, etc. than a pretty frilly dress would be. $13.99 on Etsy, available here.

I want this NOW!
Artichoke bread. Why bother with the effort of dipping bread into artichoke dip when you can just bake the dip right into the bread? This looks phenomenal. I think this is supposed to be a side or appetizer, but I could easily make a meal of it.
Get the recipe here.
Because you need a lot of stuff
This red bag from Urban Outfitters can fit a pair of flipflops, makeup, a folding umbrella, and maybe a beer or two, but it isn't so huge that it will make you look like a freshman packing for spring break. Get it here. $49.99, down from $68.
These look comfy
Anthropologie has a few sizes left of these cute and very comfortable-looking red and white sandals. I love that they aren't completely flat. That small wedge makes them much more flattering.
At $49.95, they are surprisingly reasonable for Anthropologie. Get them here (if you happen to be a6.5, 7, or 10).
Cookies with friends
Seems like a ridiculous amount of work, but this would be so much fun to put out on a giant platter at a tailgate. If you'd like to make these cute cookies, check out the recipe and instructions here.
File under: Why didn't I think of that?!
Vanilla vodka rootbeer float. Yep, the idea of adding vanilla vodka to liquid desserts has completely opened up new worlds for me. So simple, yet so brilliant.
Idea and image from http://www.fashionablybombed.com/ (best.website.name.ever).
A (secretly) healthy game day meal
That delicious mexican chicken pizza in the photo above? Well, don't tell anyone, but it is a low-calorie recipe from The Biggest Loser website. One serving has 356 calories. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks delicious, and absolutely game day appropriate.
The recipe is available here.
Found via Pinterest (of course).
Because sweaty hair plastered to your neck isn't cute
This is just three low ponytails, divided into sections, looped, and pinned. Super easy. And it keeps your hair cool and off your neck for those hot sticky September games.
Instructions available here.
Whoooa, mama!
I just had to post this photo as a little maternity-fashion inspiration. This family is so cute, and that mama-to-be is rocking a killer game day look, baby belly and all. Love it!

How to wear it: red gingham
This photo shows one beautiful way to wear red gingham plaid without looking like Strawberry Shortcake or Daisy Duke. I love the contrasting belt and slim but not short skirt.

Eat your heart out, french manicure!
These darling red and white polka-dot nails are a lot easier to achieve than you might expect. You can get the look with nail stickers from ModCloth, only $11.99. Hurry, though, because they are about to sell out. If you miss them, try these:
Red and white heart nail stickers, $11.99, also from ModCloth.
Nail stickers are great. Once you apply them to clean dry nails, they last as long as regular polish (or longer) and can be removed with your normal nail polish remover.

Absolutely genius
This is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. So clever!
Katie Bower over at the Bower Power blog has a step by step guide for making a cute and functional beverage fountain out of a watermelon. Let me repeat that - a WATERMELON DRINK FOUNTAIN! And all you need is the melon and an inexpensive outdoor faucet and lug nut from the hardware store.
I highly recommend filling the melon with a batch of watermelon lemonade with vodka, but you know, whatever floats your boat.
Instructions here.
Better than a diaper bag
A classic L.L.Bean backpack makes a great game day tote for little kids and big kids alike. And you know how much Southerners love monograms . . .
L.L.Bean Original Junior Backpack, $24.95.
Save for a rainy day
These gorgeous umbrellas almost make you wish for rainy game days. Almost.
Just be sure to stash them safely in the car before heading into the stadium - the staff will confiscate them at the gate!
Black and white umbrella with red trim, Kate Spade, $75.
Bella Pagoda umbrella, http://www.umbrellas.net/, $129.
Red and white "zombie proof" umbrella (yep, in case you get attacked by zombies at War Memorial), http://www.thinkgeek.com/, $14.99.

The adorable pictures will last a lifetime
This simple and classic monogramed red dress would make for beautiful fall photos at Razorback games. And who knows, in about 16 years, she may proudly hang those baby photos on her dorm room wall to show that her Razorback pride started at an early age. This dress, from Etsy seller Elizabethannoriginal, is perfect for warm weather, but would also be adorable layered over a long-sleeved t-shirt with tights. $35.

Sew cute!
Can you sew? Not me. But if you can, and you have a little girl who needs a cute top for warm weather football games, check out http://sewingin-nomansland.blogspot.com/2011/05/color-my-summer-baby-in-red.html for easy instructions on making this adorable ruffled red toddler top.
Be a good house guest, bring a gift
How sweet is this? A delicious watermelon tied up with a cute bow makes a cute and inexpensive hostess gift. Add a bottle of vodka, a funnel, and offer to make vodka-soaked watermelon:
As always, images are from http://www.pinterest.com/.
Cuter than a cooler
If you are hosting a watch party at home or tailgating at the stadium, these cute red wagons serve as adorable coolers for serving water, soda, and beer. The wheels make it easy to roll the heavy load to your favorite tailgating spot.

Technical difficulties
We seem to be experiencing technical difficulties regarding photos. User error, I assume (since I really have no clue how to do this stuff). Hopefully I will get it all ironed out very soon.
In the meantime, check out the archive for last year's posts and send in suggestions of your own!

Red this season: The Limited!
Just imagine it in a clear plastic picnic cup
This wasn’t meant for tailgating, but I think it would be a really fun and unique tailgating cocktail for those sweltering early games.
Take a frozen fruit pop in any flavor (as long as it’s red!), drop it upside down in a cup, and fill with prosecco. Presto, you’ve got a fun, cold alternative to the standard mimosa!
The image is from http://www.pinterest.com/ – not sure where the idea originally came from.
Now on clearance
These cute red short-shorts with bow details are on clearance right now at J.Crew. Only available in size 10.
UPDATE: When I went back to the J.Crew website to update the photo, I discovered that these cute shorts are already sold out. I hope the last pair went to an Arkansas Razorbacks fan!

Stick to what you're good at
When going to a potluck or cookout, I usually bring some kind of dip. Spinach artichoke dip, 7-layer dip, pizza dip, pimento cheese, or Burge's smoked turkey salad. But I have a friend who prides herself on her "signature" jello shots. And, regardless of the gathering, they are always a big hit. So, in honor of finding one thing and making it your own, here are some adorable red and white jello squares, just begging for a little shot of vodka . . .
